WHY WE DO IT?
Three years ago, Rose and her husband, Mr. Lee, went out for a run, not realizing they would stumble upon a new invention. Especially in the dark, Rose felt uneasy about being far from home, so she told Lee to go ahead and that she would see him when he got back. On her way home, she accidentally tripped over a pothole and fell to the ground because it was too dark. Covered in dirt, Rose had to call Lee to come and carry her home.
Once they got home, Lee told her that he had been worried about tripping while running at night, especially since he could see cars but the cars couldn't see him. He said, "I need to put headlights on our Crocs." Rose recalled thinking that such a product already existed, so she suggested he go buy one. However, after doing some research, they realized that their brilliant idea actually didn’t exist.

IWHAT WE DO?
So from an idea and kitchen tinkering came the Croc Lights. They already have more than 2000 backers enthusiastic about the product. They have renamed the product to Croc Lights and applied for a patent.The lights are hands-free, rechargeable or Use battery, and is very light, Rose says. But what’s more important is that they provide an extra layer of safety, especially for female runners. That’s one of the reasons that Rose, is so excited about this product. “Where I get nervous is when crossing through intersections. With (the Croc Lights Runners), there is no question there is a person there. It really makes a very unique motion that grabs the attention.”Not only do the lights themselves grab attention, but the concept has piqued interest from all over the world, both from runners and retailers alike.

HOW WE DO IT?
“It just really gave us a boost and a lot of confidence that we are doing the right thing by doing this,” Rose says.“We said we would keep doing this until someone told us it was a stupid idea and we never heard that,” says Lee. “Actually, quite the opposite.”These headlights for your croc shoes are bright which can increase your visibility when you night out, great for hiking, cycling, running or walking at night, also helpful for walking the dogs at night. While continuously developing new styles of Croc Lights, we also created many unique products, such as the Croc Fan and Croc Toes. Most new products sold out shortly after launch. We established warehouses in multiple countries to optimize our last-mile supply chain.
2023
We have renamed the product to Croc lights (croc headlights) and applied for a patent. Our website, croclights.com, sold over 600,000 Croc Lights. In March of the same year, we developed the Croc Speaker, which garnered over 100 million views on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
2022
After more than 11 months of product development and testing, we finally launched the Croc Headlights in the Fall of 2022. Our shoe lights mitigate many of the dangers inherent in third shift and low-light operations for nighttime workers. These "headlights" can be attached to boots or shoes, providing advanced warning of potential trip hazards while enhancing visibility for other vehicles and workers. Once our product was released, it received unanimous praise from people who enjoy night walking, mountain climbing, camping, and night running. Many young people put headlights on their shoes, thinking it was a very cool thing to do.

When we first came up with the idea for "Croc lights," it seemed like every day someone would say, "You should be on Homemade!" Our journey began by chance in 2021. One dark night, while I was walking in my Crocs, I accidentally tripped over a pothole and fell because it was too dark. I ended up covered in dirt, and Mr. Lee had to carry me home. That night, Lee thought of a solution to help prevent falls at night, and that's how Croc Headlight was born!
